ANPS Spring Meeting 2018

Everybody is welcome to attend! Meeting registration is only $10 with no pre-registration required. Registration will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, April 13.

Due to the major outages at Arkansas Nuclear One we are reserving rooms for the meeting at two different hotels. The meeting will be a La Quinta Inn and Suites. The other hotel; Fairfield Marriott is just across the street from the La Quinta.

There are 15 rooms available at each hotel and we they have been reserved at the reduced rate of $99.00 plus tax per night. We recommend to try to make reservations at the La Quinta first before going to Fairfield so we can meet the minimum for a free conference room.

Reservations must be received by March 23, 2018 to guarantee the reduced rate. Be sure to mention that you are with the Arkansas Native Plant Society when making your reservation. Individuals are responsible for their own room and tax.

Dining Options: We will have a Potluck meal Friday and Saturday evenings. Bring a dish or just come and eat! There are also many dining options in the Russellville area near the hotel.

Field trips: Several field trips to local areas of top botanical interest will be scheduled for Saturday 8:00 AM-5:00PM and Sunday 8:00AM-12:00PM. See below for full field trip schedule!

We will offer something for everybody, whether you want to take it slow and easy or something more vigorous. You must sign up for field trips on Friday evening to allow for adequate logistical planning.

Directions: From the intersection of East Harrell Drive and AR 27/7 turn left on AR 27/7 South, continue approximately 7 miles, turn right on AR 22 West and continue on 0.3 miles, turn left on State Hwy 155 continue approximately 4 miles and follow signs to visitor center.

Directions: From the intersection of East Harrell Drive and AR 27/7 (North Arkansas Avenue), turn right on AR 27/7 (North Arkansas Avenue) get on I-40 West, take Exit 74, go north 1.4 miles on State Rte. 333, turn west (by big cell tower) onto Will Baker Rd. go 2 miles, and turn north onto Sycamore Rd. and go 0.8 mile to Pine Ridge Gardens.
